Chatixy adds an AI support agent to a Shift4Shop store without a plugin. It learns your products and pages and answers shoppers from your own content, handing over to your team when a human is needed.
Shift4Shop’s Global Footer field applies to every storefront page, so the install is one copy-and-paste. Two details matter and both are in the steps: turn WYSIWYG off before pasting, or the editor strips the tag, and checkout pages need one support request before the chat appears there.

Create your agent
Sign up, add your store URL and let Chatixy train on your catalog.
Copy the snippet
Open your project’s Embed tab in Chatixy and copy the script snippet.
Open Header and Footer
In the Online Store Manager, go to Settings → Design → Header and Footer.
Paste into Global Footer
Turn WYSIWYG mode off for the Global Footer field, paste the snippet, click Enable on that section and save.
Clear cache and check
Clear your store cache and hard-reload the storefront - the launcher appears on every page.

How do I add live chat to Shift4Shop?
Go to Settings → Design → Header and Footer, turn WYSIWYG off for the Global Footer field, paste the Chatixy snippet, enable that section and save. Then clear your store cache.
Why does the chat not appear on checkout?
Shift4Shop enforces a stricter Content Security Policy on checkout pages, which blocks third-party scripts until they are allowed for your store. Ask Shift4Shop support to allow chatixy.com and the chat appears on checkout too. Everywhere else works immediately.
The tag disappeared after I saved it. Why?
The rich-text (WYSIWYG) editor rewrites what you paste and drops script tags. Turn WYSIWYG off for the Global Footer field before pasting, then save again.
