A GDPR-compliant AI support agent, hosted in the EU
Chatixy keeps your knowledge base and your visitors’ conversations in Europe, never lets providers train on your content, and offers a data processing agreement - while answering from your own website and documents.
Compliance that’s real, not a checkbox
Most support agents are US-hosted. Chatixy is built for European businesses that need to know where their data lives and how it’s handled.
EU data residency
Your knowledge base and your visitors’ conversations are hosted and processed in the European Union - not shipped to a US region by default.
Your content isn’t training data
Our model providers process your content only to answer in real time, under a data processing agreement, and do not use it to train their general-purpose models.
GDPR roles done right
For your visitors’ messages you are the controller and Chatixy is your processor, acting on your instructions - with a DPA and a clear subprocessor list.
Data subject rights
Access, export and deletion are built in. After account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention.
GDPR & EU hosting, answered
Are support agents GDPR compliant?
They can be - it depends on where the data is hosted, who processes it, and whether there is a data processing agreement. Chatixy is built EU-first: your content and conversations are hosted in the EU, processed under a DPA, and never used to train general-purpose models. You remain the controller of your visitors’ data and Chatixy is your processor.
Where is my data hosted with Chatixy?
In the European Union. Where any subprocessor processes data outside the EU, those transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses.
Do your AI model providers train on my data?
No. To generate answers, the relevant parts of your knowledge base and the conversation are sent to our model provider as a subprocessor under a DPA. They return a response and do not use that content to train their models.
What about the EU AI Act?
A customer-support assistant is a limited-risk AI system, where the main obligation is transparency - telling people they are interacting with AI. Chatixy supports that with clear support agent branding and an easy handoff to a human, and you control how the support agent introduces itself.
Can I tell my visitors an AI is being used?
Yes - the support agent is clearly branded as a support agent, you control the welcome message and persona, and conversations hand off to your team when a human is needed. You should reference Chatixy in your own privacy notice.
