Check which Jimdo you are on before you start, because it decides whether this is possible at all. A jimdofree.com address means Jimdo Creator and this works. A jimdosite.com address is the newer Jimdo Website Builder, which does not allow custom HTML, CSS or JavaScript at all - no chat widget from any vendor can be installed there.

Create your agent
Sign up, add your site URL and let Chatixy train on your pages.
Open Edit Head
In Jimdo Creator click Edit, then go to Menu → Settings → Edit Head.
Paste the snippet
Paste the Chatixy snippet into the box and click Save.
Open your site
Turn off Under Construction mode if it is on, then reload your site - the launcher appears on every page.

How do I add live chat to Jimdo?
On Jimdo Creator, go to Menu → Settings → Edit Head, paste the Chatixy snippet and save. The chat then appears on every page of your site.
Can I add a chat widget to the Jimdo Website Builder?
No. Jimdo documents that the Website Builder supports no custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript, iframes or external embed codes, so no third-party chat widget can be installed on it. Custom code is a Jimdo Creator feature.
Which Jimdo Creator plan do I need?
Custom coding is included on every Creator plan, including the free one. You will want a paid plan for a custom domain, but not for the chat widget itself.
