Chatixy adds an AI support agent to Zen Cart with a real plugin - no template editing. It learns your products and pages and answers shoppers from your own content, handing over to your team when a human is needed.
The plugin uses Zen Cart’s observer system rather than patching core files, so a store upgrade cannot undo it. Zen Cart’s own documentation otherwise asks you to create a jscript file inside one specific template folder, which breaks the moment you change template - this replaces that with a setting.

Sign up, add your store URL and let Chatixy train on your catalog.
Download the plugin
Download the Chatixy plugin zip from your install guide and unzip it. Zen Cart 2.1.0 or newer is required.
Copy into zc_plugins
Copy the zc_plugins folder from the zip into your store’s own zc_plugins directory.
Install it
In admin go to Modules → Plugin Manager, select Chatixy AI Chat and click Install.
Paste your key
Open Configuration → Chatixy AI Chat, paste your widget key and save - the launcher appears on every storefront page.

Which Zen Cart versions are supported?
Zen Cart 2.1.0 and newer. Storefront plugins only became fully supported in 2.1.0; on 1.5.7 to 2.0.0 stores a plugin like this needs core-file changes, so those are documented as a manual install rather than supported.
Does it edit any core Zen Cart files?
No. It ships as an encapsulated plugin under zc_plugins and hooks the storefront through Zen Cart’s notifier system, which is what Zen Cart itself recommends over changing core files. Uninstalling removes its settings again.
Does the plugin send anything to Chatixy?
The plugin itself makes no server-side network call at all - it only adds the loader tag your visitors’ browsers fetch. It is also GPL-2.0, matching Zen Cart itself.
