Until now, the Chatixy app lived on one side of the phone aisle. Teams with iPhones had it. Teams with Android phones did not. That changes today: Chatixy for Android, with a Wear OS app, is on Google Play.
This is the companion app for teams that already use Chatixy. It is not a new assistant and not a new way to set one up - it is the same assistant your visitors already talk to, now reachable from an Android phone and a Wear OS watch. If your team is split across phone brands, that split no longer decides who can pick up a conversation. Everyone gets the same app, whatever phone each teammate carries.
If you are on iPhone, nothing changes for you: the iPhone app with its Apple Watch app is already there, and you can read about it in the post about the iPhone and Apple Watch launch.
A Tuesday morning on the shop floor
Picture a support lead who is not at a desk. She is walking the floor between deliveries, phone in hand, when the push notification arrives: a visitor needs a person.
She opens it. The full conversation is there, including what the assistant already answered - the question the visitor asked, the answer it gave, and the point where it stopped and handed over. She does not have to reconstruct anything or ask the visitor to repeat themselves.
One tap and she has taken over from the assistant. She replies from the phone. If her hands are full, she can dictate the reply from her watch instead, straight from the inbox on her wrist.
That is the whole loop: notification, context, takeover, reply. It works the same whether the phone is in her hand or the watch is on her wrist.
The rest of what the app does
Beyond that first moment, the Android app carries the working parts of the shared inbox:
- Conversations: the full thread with what the assistant answered, and takeover with one tap.
- Replying: saved replies and AI drafts when you want a head start.
- Inbox views: filtered by active, idle and closed, so you can see what is waiting.
- Team chat: direct messages and groups, with images and voice notes.
- Presence: see which teammates are online before you hand something to them.
- Numbers: live visitors on the site, AI resolution rate, volume and response times.
- Leads and contacts: captured leads and the people behind them.
- Gaps: the questions the assistant could not answer, so you know what to fix.
On the watch - Apple Watch or Wear OS - the app gives you the inbox and replies by dictation. That is the part that matters when you are moving and cannot stop to type.
Security on Android
Signing in is protected by mandatory two-factor authentication and passkeys. On top of that, the app has an app lock: fingerprint or face unlock on Android, so a phone left on a counter is not an open inbox.
Where to get it
Chatixy for Android is on Google Play: download Chatixy for Android. A Chatixy account is required, because the app is the companion to the assistant you already run.
